How to save a message on WhatsApp without taking a screenshot

There is no doubt about the fact that WhatsApp is one of the most widely used communication platforms today, not just in India but globally as well. Last year at its F8 developer conference, Facebook revealed that every day WhatsApp users send roughly 65 billion messages and that number is just increasing.

Among all the messages that you exchange — in your private or group conversations — there may be specific messages that you want to save for referring back to later. While taking a screenshot of that particular chat seems to be like the first choice, it should not be the obvious one.
WhatsApp as a platform provides feature that will allow you to bookmark any message — in both private and group chat — which you can access later on easily. Called Starred Messages, this feature is available on Android phones, iPhones as well as on Windows phone.
Here is how you can Star a message on Android phone:
-Open WhatsApp
-Go to the chat you wish to select the message from
-Tap and hold the message you wish to star.
-Tap the Star icon that appears on top of the screen.
Here is how you can Star a message on an iPhone:
-Open WhatsApp
-Go to the chat you wish to select the message from
-Tap and hold the message you wish to star.
-Tap the Star icon in the menu that appears
All the messages you star are stored together and if you’re wondering how to find them, follow these steps:
To view the list of messages you've starred on Android phone
-Open WhatsApp
-Tap More options

-Tap Starred messages
-To view the list of messages you've starred on iPhone
-Open the chat that contains the starred messages you wish to see.
-Tap the name of the chat.
-Tap Starred messages.
