How to add another person to unlock your iPhone with Face ID

With Apple ditching fingerprint scanner in the latest iPhone range, Face ID has gained prominence in the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. While there is always the option to use a passcode to lock a phone, Face ID is easy and quick when it comes to unlocking the iPhone. However, the accuracy and efficiency of Face ID was questioned earlier in the iPhone X. Now, with the new iOS 12 update, Apple has now introduced the option to add another 'Face' that can be used to unlock the iPhone using Face ID in iPhone X, XS, XS Max and XR.
This feature can be used to improve the efficiency of Face ID by registering the same Face twice to offer more biometric details so that the iPhone unlocks faster. Also, if you wear spectacles then you can use two Face ID for more accuracy by using one Face ID with spectacles and another without spectacles.
Apple has added the option to recognise another Face ID on the new iPhones, so, that users who wear spectacles or sunglasses doesn’t face difficulties while unlocking their iPhones.
Alternatively, you can also add a trusted Face to unlock your iPhone. So, instead of sharing your passcode with your trusted partner, you can simply register his/her face as another Face ID on your iPhone. This will allow that trusted partner to unlock your iPhone by just looking at it. So, here is how to add another Face ID on your iOS 12-based iPhone X, XS, XS Max and XR.
1.Go to settings
2.Tap Face ID & passcode
3.Enter your passcode
4.Tap "Setup an alternative appearance"
5.Tap on get started on the "How to setup Face ID" window
6.Register Face ID and save it
